Where’s the baby?
Where’s the baby?
So little
So valuable
I found Mary and Joseph
I pulled Three Wise Men, camel and pewter palm
Out of the velvet bag with shepherd, sheep, and donkey
A glorious angel announced the scene
I cannot find the baby
I’m lost
What’s a crèche without him?
He came to the world true light
The world did not recognize him
He came to his own
His own did not receive him
To all who did recognize
Receive
Believe him
He gave the right to become children of God
Born of God
I found the baby
I found the One and Only
Disguised as one of us
The manger full of grace and truth
The tomb empty
I’m crying for relief and for joy.
Tears of hope.
